When the gates to the Saratoga Automobile Museum’s Spring Auto Show presented by Keeler Motor Car Company swing open at 10 am on Sunday, May 18th, the grounds of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center will mirror the Spa city itself, with something of interest to everyone.

The annual fund raiser for the Saratoga Automobile Museum’s educational programs and exhibits will feature hundreds of automobiles and motorcycles competing for trophies in some two dozen classes, as well as the prestigious Keeler Cups, awarded to the best of each brand sold at Keeler’s multi-dealership Latham complex.

Vintage racers from the Atlantic Coast Old Timers club and contemporary cars from the Sports Car Club of America’s Mo-Hud Chapter will be on hand. Race fans can also get a look at an exhibit saluting the legendary Syracuse Mile as museum admission is included in the car show ticket. The featured Golub Gallery presentation is the highly acclaimed “Romance of the Roadster” exhibit that features Ricky Nelson’s 1932 Ford as seen on the “Ozzie and Harriet” Show, and much, much more.

New for 2008 is a food court adjacent to the auto museum, along with a Family Pack ticket package that will admit two adults and up to four children for $20.

Day of show registration will open at 7:30 am in the area behind the auto museum off the Avenue of the Pines in the Saratoga Spa State Park.

Parking for the general public will again be in the SPAC parking area off Rt. 50, from where visitors can enjoy both the car show and the auto museum exhibits.

The New Baltimore Classic & Classy Car & Motorcycle Show

The show will be held at the New Baltimore District #1 (Wyche) Park located just north of Exit 21B of the NYS Thruway in the hamlet of New Baltimore, Green County. Proceeds to benefit the New Baltimore Reformed Church Stained Glass Restoration Project in the year of the church’s 175th Anniversary.

Join us for a fun-filled family afternoon! There will be food vendors, car associated vendors and displays and fun things for the kids! Now, what we need from you are cars and motorcycles!

As this is a fund raiser for the church project, we are requesting a $20 donation for the first entry by the same owner and for this you will receive a commemorative mug and a T-shirt, plus a chance at winning prizes to be awarded that day. Each subsequent entry for the same owner we are requesting $5/entry.

We are hoping that car clubs will be able to provide a minimum of ten entries. Entrants received by June 1, 2008 will be included in a booklet to be distributed to visitors that day. We are also taking donations for ad space in the booklet, if you or anyone you know might be interested.

A few years ago, it was realized that some of the stained glass windows in the church were deteriorating. As it turns out, at least two of the windows need to be removed and totally refurbished at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars and it is hoped that this event will assist the church cover some of these expenses.

We thank you for your consideration and if you wish further information, please contact Don and Lisa Van Alstyne at NBCarShow@yahoo.com or 518-694-3748. We appreciate anything you can do to help make this event a success.
